No Projection Screen Required!
Screens and Keyboards Go Virtual Thanks to DLP Technology
The best pico projectors are the ones that have a good image, can be set up just about anywhere, and offer a good level of visibility on their projection surface. Miniature projection for cell phones, digital cameras, and PDAs are part of the future of presentation technology, but are available today. A recent commercial showed a person in a break room projecting scenes from James Cameron's Avatar film onto the wall, with a projector that mounted onto the bottom of the smartphone. Innovations in LED and LCD technology, as well as DLP innovations from Texas Instruments, mean that virtual projectors could be as common in 5 years as cellphones are today. There are even motion sensing projectors that create virtual keyboards on flat surfaces, so your computer hardware may be limited to a small box that projects a keyboard and a screen. As Pico Projectors become more widespread, they will be featured on this site.
